FC Malaga City Academy Under 19s will make the 500+ mile trip to La Masia this week to take on world-football giants FC Barcelona.
Founded in 1899, FC Barcelona are one of the world's most successful clubs - crowned La Liga champions on 26 occasions, Copa del Rey winners 31 times and UEFA Champions League winners on 5 occasions.
La Masia, home of FC Barcelona Academy, is renowned for being one of the world's leading youth setups - with graduates including players such as Lionel Messi, Xavi, Andrés Iniesta, Sergio Busquets, Cesc Fàbregas, Carles Puyol, Gerard Pique and many more.
The fixture will round off an already-impressive 2020/21 schedule - with #FCMC academy teams coming up against the likes of Atlético de Madrid, Getafe CF, Granada CF, Málaga CF and Cádiz CF amongst many other professional teams. Sean Morris' Under 19s team will come up against FC Barcelona's Liga Nacional Juvenil team this Wednesday at 10:30 at the world-famous La Masia training centre.
