Goalkeeper Gabriel Mendoza revealed he is focused ahead of CD Almuñecar City’s "important" meeting with CD Medina Lauxa this afternoon.
After the league split following the commencement of the first half of the season, #CDAC currently sit top of Grupo de Descenso - having begun with a 2-2 draw last weekend.
Juan Carlos Añon’s side were two goals up after a brilliant first-half display, in which Juanlu and Yohan Le Bourhis scored at the Estádio Municipal Francisco Bonet.
Atlético La Zubia pulled a goal back four minutes after half-time, and went on to score a dramatic late equaliser to deny #CDAC all three points.
Moving into Game Day 2, #CDAC will be on the road for the first time since the league split, facing the team one point behind them in the league table.
“We know that the game is very important for the team and for club because we need to be pushing and winning for the supporters,” Mendoza said.
“It’s really important for us in the league and it’s motivation for every one of us, from the players to the staff, to be winning.
“We want to play good in every game and get clear from the bottom as soon as possible. If we take our chances and play well, I am sure we will.”
