CD Almuñecar Atletico have confirmed the appointment of highly regarded Danish coach Nicolai Johansen as new Head Coach.
The Dane joins the club from CD Barrio, an FC Malaga City Academy project, with former CD Almuñecar Atlético Head Coach Juanma Bullejos heading the other way joining Adrian Dominguez's Coaching Staff.
The UEFA A Licensed Coach takes over CD Almuñecar Atlético with the team sat in 8th place in Tercera Andaluza Granada Senior following a difficult start to the season.
George Jermy, Director at FC Malaga City Academy, commented: "It's been a great move for all to be able to rotate our coaches around, especially given Nicolai's experience and coaching pedigree.
Our Under 23s are a really talented group and while the main goal of the project is the development of the players, we felt that their potential was not being maximised and this has shown in the results in the first half of the season.
We are excited to change the dynamic for the squad and wish Nicolai the best for 2020 and beyond!"
