Since our conception in 2013 our goal has been to establish one of our senior sides as a full-time professional team, providing a pathway for the talented youth players in our academy ranks to progress into a professional senior environment in Spain. Years later we now have a first team competing in the Tercera Division and we continue to improve the infrastructure surrounding our players each year to provide more opportunity and resources than ever before.

When looking at the professional football scene across a number of different countries we identified a huge gap in the industry in terms of the development of young players between the ages of 18-23. With many young players thrown into a senior environment and judged accordingly at such a young age, we wanted to challenge this idea by creating a club structure that provides young talented players with a smoother transition into the senior level and more opportunity for playing time and development.
FC MALAGA CITY
FC Malaga City Senior sits at the pinnacle of our club pyramid, providing a stepping stone into full-time professional football here in Europe. We are proud to see a number of Academy Alumni represented in this team and aspire to see further success in developing players capable of competing at this level.
FC MALAGA CITY U23/U21
Our U21 and U23 squads provide our first entry points into senior football with an emphasis on development and preparing players for competitive league play. These teams have played a crucial role in the development of a large number of players who now find themselves in FCMC and CDAC senior.

With countless years of experience and many of the staff having had experience playing/coaching at the professional level, each player can expect to be pushed and tested on a daily basis as we work towards collective and individual goals. Our philosophy is to play an attractive style of football centred around a detailed level of organisation and understanding of the dynamics of the modern game. All of our coaching staff is UEFA Licensed and will work with players to improve all aspects of their game, benefiting them not only during their at FCMC but for the rest of their career also.
LOAN SYSTEM AND CLUB AFFILIATIONS
For many players the dream of playing full-time football in Europe is at the top of their agenda and our senior programs act as a perfect platform for players (18+) looking to showcase their abilities in the Spanish League system. With a full-time training schedule, accompanied by addition specialised training sessions including but not limited to: Video Analysis, Strength & Conditioning, Injury Prevention, Yoga, Spin sessions players expect to become fully immersed in the life of a professional during their time with us here at FCMC. Through this level and quality of training and games players will be given all of the tools that they need to be successful.

FOOTBALL
The FC Malaga City Senior team remains at the pinnacle of our club pyramid but is further supported by our U21 and U23 squads in our club structure. This provides players who have finished their youth career at the U19 level, the opportunity to compete within the competitive Spanish league structure - bridging the gap in a crucial part of a players development. Our mission is to provide with an unrivalled platform in order to further their personal development and also progress through the Spanish league system.
THE CULTURE THAT WE TRY AND CREATE HERE AT FC MALAGA CITY IS ONE THAT IS CENTERED AROUND BEING RELENTLESS, NEVER GIVING IN, AND STRIVING TO BECOME THE BEST VERSION OF YOURSELF. STRIVING FOR SUCCESS IS A FANTASTIC VEHICLE TO ENABLE YOUNG PEOPLE TO NAVIGATE THROUGH CHALLENGES AND DEVELOP FOCUS ON THEIR GOALS.

Over the years #FCMC has developed a large professional network with teams throughout the region, with many sharing an interest in our unique club structure and international player base. For players who we feel are ready to take the step into competitive football, we do utilise this network in order to create opportunities for players in local senior sides.

This unique opportunity to be emersed in an authentic Spanish environment is not only beneficial from a playing standpoint but also from a personal development as well. Please note this is NOT something that is guaranteed as it also depends on the unique requirements of each individual club however, it is a method that we have found great success with throughout our years of operation. The idea is that we can then track/monitor our players' progress, as to maintain their full-time training schedule with FCMC, and look at the possibility of recalling them to join our senior sides at a suitable moment in the season.

Since 2013, FC Malaga City is proud to have worked with and developed a high number of international players that have made the jump to the professional level. The amount of Academy success stories represents a tremendous amount of hard work from both players and staff a like, as we continue to create new exciting connections and opportunities for our players to take full advantage of.
When we talk of milestones, nothing can be taken from the moment we officially called ourselves a nationally recognized football club with our FC MALAGA CITY senior team now competing in a professional league in the TERCERA RFEF.
A dream that started out just as simple idle talk, would have looked like the impossible a decade ago, yet here we are, pinching ourselves almost 10 years later, with a platform and pathway that cannot be rivalled for player development. Despite our success in recent years we remain resolute in our core values of believing in young people.
