FC Malaga City Under 18s defender Markus Booysen is “excited” ahead of tomorrow’s meeting with La Liga club Real Betis.
Maxime Oliveri and Alvaro Arias Perez’s Under 18s side will face Real Betis tomorrow evening at 19:00.
The South African, who has been a regular in the FC Malaga City U17s and U18s teams, is confident that he and his teammates will put on a positive display.
“We are very positive and eager to prove ourselves against a big club like Real Betis,” he said.
“They are an established professional club with a huge history, and a great reputation of bringing through youth players.
“It is an amazing opportunity for all of us as players, and we are very excited for the challenge.
“We are looking to compete and give it our best.
“On an individual level, I am looking forward to testing myself against some of the region’s best young players in Real Betis.
“My first season with FC Malaga City Academy has been a great learning experience.
“I am very grateful for everything I have learnt this season, and am very excited for where the future takes me.”
