FC Malaga City Senior defender Lucas De Paula revealed he is "excited" - ahead of this evening's meeting with CD Torrox.
The Brazilian full-back has been a regular for Adrian Dominguez Igual's side - who sit top of Primera Andaluza (Malaga).
"So far we are having a good season," De Paula said.
"We lost some games away from home before the Winter break, but the most important thing is that we are undefeated in 2021 and I hope we can keep it going like that until the end.
"Our team is very united - we have a lot of competition, but everyone is really positive.
"We always encourage each other, and players who are not always starting give 100% every time they get an opportunity. "It is a very good environment for the team at the moment.
"We know things are going to get more difficult as we approach the final stages of the season - but we are all focused and ready for the challenge."
De Paula admitted the start of the season was tough for him after picking up injury - but lauded the support from the coaches and fans from his native Brazil.
"The beginning of the season was tough for me due to injury," he continued.
"I then started to hit form again, get in shape and get some consistency in my performances.
"I think I am hitting the best level that I have so far this season, and I am really positive ahead of tonight's game.
"The most important thing for me is that I am enjoying my football here.
"The support I receive from people back home is amazing - and the energy that they bring helps us a lot.
"In the live streams they are really active and show their support, and we have lots of fun reading the comments after the game."
