Midfielder Ben Leisegang expressed his excitement, as he and his FC Malaga City Academy teammates are set to face Atlético de Madrid this week.
Leisegang, who was formerly with LA Galaxy Academy - is into his second season with #FCMC, and revealed he feels “fortunate” to have the opportunity.
“Every player comes to FC Malaga City Academy in the hope that they get to play in these big types of games,” Leisegang said.
“I feel grateful, and I feel fortunate that I get to go and showcase my abilities next week against Atlético de Madrid.
“At the end of the day, that’s what we all come here for. I think it will be a good experience, where I’ll be able to self-evaluate where I’m at as a player compared to the players that are playing at that next level.
“I’m super excited for the match, and I can’t wait to go out there and put on a good show - and represent FC Malaga City Academy well.”
