Congratulations to FC Malaga City Academy Graduate Elliot Simmons who has joined Canadian Premier League side Cavalry FC.
Elliot joined FC Malaga City Academy in 2016 following his release from MK Dons, shining both on and off the pitch with his tremendous work ethic and attitude.
Since leaving the academy, Elliot has enjoyed a successful career around the world playing professionally in Sweden and Finland before playing in the inaugural season of the Canadian Premier League for HFX Wanderers last year.
Tommy Wheeldon Jr, Head Coach at Cavalry FC, commented: “Elliot is a player we admired when scouting or playing against HFX Wanderers. He is a great technician that wants to be on the ball and has a very good passing range.
We like the fact that he’s still a young domestic player with a big upside as he’s already gained a lot of valuable professional experience. Add that to the fact he knows what this league is all about and it gives him a great head start that will help gel him into our playing system right away.”
