FC Málaga City Academy are pleased to announce details for the upcoming Inter Academy Tournament, which will see six teams compete against one another over the next three weeks.
The tournament has been set up as a platform to showcase the talent within the Academy and US coaches will be watching on, looking at the players on display in the games.
The teams have been mixed, so the first five teams have players from the Under-17, Under-18 and Under-19 sides, and the sixth team in the tournament will be our Femenino side - who have started their inaugural season with two victories, two clean-sheets and 17 goals scored.
Each team will face each other once and games will be played on Wednesday's and Thursday's across the next three weeks. We are delighted to be have both Sports Recruiting USA and Cheers Mate Productions supporting this big event for the academy.
FCMC Academy Director George Jermy said: "The tournament is a great idea. It's going to be a huge few weeks and I can't wait to see all the players mix together.
"There's lots of games and plenty of fantastic schools are going to be observing and hopefully scouting the players.
"The way the world is, it's a great opportunity for us, but also a fantastic opportunity for the scouts to see the huge amount of talent that we have got on show this year."
